Chef, Owner

Nick is a born and bred Los Angeles native who found his heart on the Central Coast more than 10 years ago. With a Culinary degree from Santa Barbara City College, working in kitchens in Los Angeles and living abroad running kitchens in Australia, Nick found himself working under the tutelage of Artisan’s Chris Kobayashi. Learning from one of the pioneers of the Farm to Table movement inspired Nick to go out on his own and work with only the best fare to create an elevated classic California experience in the catering world. Nick lives with his Wife and Trumpet Vine Co-Owner Erica in Paso Robles and enjoys snowboarding, traveling, spending time with family and his dog Kingsley.

Co-Owner

Erica is a Cal Poly Graduate in Wine and Viticulture who was able to parlay herself into a career in Marketing for the last 10 years with the Firestone Walker Brewing Company. On weekends she began catering with her Husband and Trumpet Vine Co-Owner to learn the ropes of the catering world. Five years into their own venture Erica made the leap to full time Marketing and Sales for Trumpet Vine to work side by side with Nick. Erica enjoys snuggling her dogs Kingsley and Pickles, traveling, watercolor painting, reading and spending time with friends and a good bottle of wine and cheese.

Chef De Cuisine

Brian is a Boston Massachusetts native that brings over 30 years of east coast culinary flair to the team. As a tried and true fish monger, he has a deep understanding of everything that encompasses seafood. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, Brian decided to further expand his culinary knowledge and ventured to Puerto Rico where he would later earn his nickname, “The Caribbean Cowboy”. He then travelled cross country to pursue his passion for BBQ and ended up in Bear Valley California. Today, Brian is the proud owner of C.C. Signature Beef Jerky and is a beloved member of the Trumpet Vine team!

Event Manager

Autumn was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. After moving back home from attending San Diego State University, Autumn found her passion for planning while working as a wedding coordinator at Kennolyn Events. In 2022 she moved to San Luis Obispo, where she hoped to continue to hone her event-planning skills. Working at Trumpet Vine Catering is a dream come true for her: it marries her love of food with her dedication to planning the perfect event. In her free time, Autumn likes to cook for her partner, tend to her plants and vegetables, and search for the best espresso martini in SLO.

Marketing Manager

Tony is a Cal Poly Engineering Graduate who left the tech world to focus on his passion for cooking and design. He has over a decade of marketing experience and is the founder of the branding agency, Triano Studios. When it comes to cooking, he is a lover of classic French technique and southeast Asian flavors and helped open Brasserie, San Luis Obispo. In his free time, you can find Tony working on vintage Japanese motorcycles & trucks, playing guitar, or swimming in Morro Bay with his 12 year-old Queensland.
